About SingNRG
SingNRG is run by Nick R Grogan, who also founded CostMaster in the UK — a correction-only service for finance leaders dealing with structural energy billing and supply errors.
Nick has spent 29 years working across UK, US, and Southeast Asian energy and operational cost markets. He’s contributed to the UK’s National Policy Statement for new nuclear (DESNZ, 2025) and has been interviewed by BBC Radio 5 Live on energy pricing.
SingNRG exists because Singapore’s market is structured differently from the UK’s — different suppliers, different regulatory environment, different categories of spend worth reviewing — and it needed its own model rather than a straight import of CostMaster’s.
Why SingNRG takes a broader view than CostMaster
CostMaster is deliberately narrow: energy billing and supply correction only, one defined mandate at a time. SingNRG covers more ground — energy and utilities, telecoms, facilities, logistics, insurance, and other recurring spend — because that’s where Singapore businesses most often carry cost they’ve stopped noticing. Same underlying discipline: find what’s real, prove it, only get paid if we deliver.
Backed by senior expertise
For engagements that call for it, we bring in independent senior advisors — most notably a former Global Head of Procurement with three decades of experience across global media, publishing, and logistics organisations, alongside a small network of other senior specialists. Advisors are engaged case by case, where additional seniority, sector experience, or negotiating weight strengthens the outcome.
Why organisations use us rather than doing this themselves
Existing relationships create blind spots. Long-standing supplier relationships are often the least reviewed — nobody wants to be the one to ask if a ten-year contract is still competitive.
It’s genuinely time-consuming. A proper review means gathering data, benchmarking against current market rates, and negotiating — most internal teams don’t have the spare capacity to do this well alongside their day job.
Benchmarking data and supplier knowledge take years to build. We bring both, built over three decades in these markets.
